Orange Ricordea Mushroom Coral (Ricordea florida)

Description:
The Orange Ricordea Mushroom Coral is a stunning and colourful addition to any reef aquarium, prized for its vibrant orange and golden hues that glow brilliantly under blue or actinic lighting. Its plump, bubble-like polyps and textured surface give it a unique appearance that adds both colour and dimension to your aquascape.

Native to the shallow reefs of the Caribbean, Ricordea florida is hardy, adaptable, and ideal for both novice and experienced reef keepers. Over time, these mushrooms can multiply, forming small colonies that bring life and movement to your rockwork or substrate. The Orange Ricordea’s intense colouration and gentle waving motion make it a must-have for any collector or display reef.

Care Level: Easy

Notes:

  • Prefers stable conditions and gentle water flow.

  • Can be placed on rubble or rockwork where it can slowly spread and form a colony.

  • Avoid strong direct flow or intense light, which can cause it to retract.

  • A great choice for nano reefs or mixed soft coral systems.
