Strontium is a macro element which is present in all reefs around the world.  

Although its physiological effects are still being studied, there is evidence that impacts on health of animals. Strontium is associate to calcification of coral skeleton and general coral health and therefore important for maintaining good growth and coral health.

Strontium is a macro element that gets depleted from the water in our tanks fairly quickly.

It is important to check Strontium levels through an ICP analysis and ensure its stability by dosing a Strontium supplement as needed.

Naturally, Strontium concentration ranges around 8-10 mg/l.
