Natural seawater is littered with miniscule, relatively nonnutrititive organic and inorganic particles. Physio-biochemical properties of the particles are dramatically altered as they are colonized by certain microbes; most notable of these changes is the biologically-enhanced aggregation of smaller particles. This occurs as secretions from the resident microbes form adhesive exopolymer bridges that promote clumping. Because the resulting aggregates resemble snowflakes (which slowly sink as they gain sufficient mass to become negatively buoyant), they are commonly referred to as marine snow.

Enriched by its coating of microbes and their biofilm, marine snow is a highly nutritious food source for corals and filter-feeding invertebrates. PNS YelloSno™ replicates a marine snowfall, delivering B vitamins and bioavailable minerals and trace elements to aquarium inhabitants ranging from copepods to clams to corals...even certain groups of beneficial bacteria. 

DIRECTIONS

Keep refrigerated. Treats up to 500 gallons. Maximum daily dosage is 1.0 mL/gal/day; however, dosage may be safely increased/decreased incrementally to suit individual needs. For first-time use, or for use in systems that are sparsely stocked with filter-feeders, start with 0.25 mL/gal/day; gradually increase starting dose until desired results are achieved and/or an increase in nutrient or dissolved organic carbon levels is observed.

May be mixed in small amounts (<0.25 mL/gal/day) to nutritionally supplement other coral foods/suspension diets. Alternatively, very small doses (as little as 0.10 mL/gal) may be used to 'prime' corals (i.e., elicit polyp extension) prior to main feeding. Disperse broadly into the water from an area of moderate flow. For optimal results, remove/bypass mechanical filter media for one hour following each dose.
