Feeding & Nutrition
The NY Knicks Torch accepts a wide range of supplemental foods despite being photosynthetic. It responds especially well to mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, reef roids, LPS pellets, and chopped seafood. Feeding 1–2 times weekly encourages more vibrant coloration, stronger polyp extension, and faster skeletal growth. Target feeding during polyp extension yields the best results.
Notes
Allow ample spacing, as this torch has long sweeper tentacles that can sting nearby corals.
Avoid high, direct flow which can stress or tear tissue.
Stability in alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium is critical for long-term health.
A premium showcase coral ideal for torch gardens and high-impact reef aquascapes.
