Green Hammer Coral (Euphyllia paraancora)

Description:
The Green Hammer Coral is a reef aquarium classic, admired for its vivid emerald-green coloration and distinctive hammer- or anchor-shaped tentacles. Under blue or actinic lighting, its tips glow brilliantly, creating a beautiful contrast and mesmerizing motion in the current. This LPS coral is both hardy and visually stunning, making it a perfect choice for beginner and experienced reef keepers alike.

Each frag is aquacultured to ensure health, resilience, and easier acclimation to a variety of reef environments. Its gentle swaying tentacles add natural movement and a vibrant splash of color to any tank.

Care Level: Easy to Moderate
Temperament: Semi-aggressive (may extend sweeper tentacles at night)
Placement: Mid to lower regions of the tank, leaving space between neighboring corals.

Notes:

  • Leave several inches between this coral and others, as its sweeper tentacles can sting nearby species.

  • Prefers moderate flow to allow gentle movement without excessive force.

  • Avoid very high light intensity, which can cause tissue stress.

  • Ideal for adding color and motion to mixed LPS or soft coral reefs.
