Feeding & Nutrition
Torch corals benefit from occasional feedings despite being largely photosynthetic. They readily accept mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, LPS pellets, and fine marine foods. Feeding 1–2 times per week encourages fuller polyp extension, faster branching, and richer coloration. Target feeding at night or during strong extension is ideal.
Notes
Give torches plenty of space—they have long sweeper tentacles and can sting nearby corals.
Avoid strong, blasting flow, which can damage the fleshy polyps.
Stable parameters, especially alkalinity and calcium, are essential for long-term health.
