The filter is designed for aquariums up to 150 litres in size. 

The Aquael Turbo Filter 500 provides both mechanical and biological filtration to your aquarium water, whilst simultaneously providing high efficiency at low level power consumption. The filter is compatible with any Aquael biological or chemical cartridges such as; BioCeraMAX Pro 600, BioCeraMAX Pro 1200, BioCeraMAX Pro 1600, ZeoMAX PLUS, CarboMAX PLUS, NitroMAX PRO, PhosMAX BASIC, and PhosMAX PRO.

The Aquael Turbo Filter 500 features unique shock-absorbing filter cups which work to dampen vibrations, thus causing less noise during performance. The filter media container is also compatible with any filter medium and accommodates a capacity of 250ml. One BioCeraMAX Pro 600 cartridge for biological filtration is also provided, as well as one sponge for high filtering parameters.
